NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with the provisions of Section 101 of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 and Section 5 of the Local Authority Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 1985 as follows:

Inspection of Accounts
One copy of the Unaudited Abstract of Accounts for the financial year ended 31 March 2010 duly made up, balanced and signed, will be deposited at each of the undernoted offices:

Right to Inspect Accounts
Any person interested may inspect the Accounts to be audited and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating thereto and make copies of all or any part of the Accounts and those other documents.
The Unaudited Abstract of Accounts will be open for inspection at the above Offices on any weekday from Monday 19 July 2010 to Friday 06 August 2010 inclusive between the hours of 9.00am and 4.30pm. Any persons wishing to inspect the other documents specified above should make enquiry at the Finance Services, Municipal Buildings, Falkirk.
Any person who is unable to attend at the time and places aforementioned, should make written application to the Director of Finance, Municipal Buildings, Falkirk, FK1 5RS and alternative arrangements may be made.

Right to Object to Accounts
Any person interested may object to the Accounts or to any part of the accounts by:

sending the objection, in writing, together with a statement of the grounds thereof to Lynn Bradley, Director of Audit Services, Audit Scotland, Osborne House, 1/5 Osborne Terrace, Edinburgh, EH12 5HG and to the Controller of Audit, Accounts Commission, 110 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4LH not later than Monday 09 August, 2010.

sending copies of that objection and statement to the Director of Finance, Municipal Buildings, Falkirk, FK1 5RS and to the Officer of the Authority who may be concerned.

Objection Procedure
Where any person objects to the Accounts, the Auditor shall, if so requested by that person, afford to that person, the opportunity of appearing before and being heard by the Auditor with respect to that objection, and any such person may so appear and be heard either personally or by a representative.
The auditor appointed is Bruce Crosbie FCCA, Senior Audit Manager, Audit Scotland, Osborne House, 1/5 Osborne Terrace, Edinburgh, EH12 5HG.
