Validated Self Evaluation (VSE) is a process which aims to support and challenge the work within schools and education authorities to improve the quality of provision and outcomes for learners.
It recognises that self evaluation is increasingly well embedded across the Scottish educational landscape and that high quality self-evaluation can lead to continuous improvement for learners and the achievement of excellence in practice and provision.
VSE acknowledges that the responsibility for improving services and outcomes lies with the self-evaluator, in this case, Falkirk Council Education Services.
The role of the validator - Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Education (HMIe) - is to support, extend and challenge the self-evaluation at service level, and so affirm and strengthen outcomes for learners.
You can find a copy of the Falkirk Council Education Services VSE Report published 1 March 2011 on this page along with supporting self evaluation documents produced by Education Services.
