| 5 | Motion referred to the Executive under Standing Order 31 The following motion was referred to the Executive from the meeting of Falkirk Council on 5 December 2018. Council agrees that child poverty is on the rise and that Universal credit and benefit sanctions have led to a rise in foodbank use and the increased poverty in our area. Council also acknowledges that due to welfare reform more people are struggling to sustain their tenancies. Council therefore agrees to ask the Chief Executive to:- 1. consider how services are delivered across the council area, with particular emphasis on sustainability of tenancies, income maximisation and inequalities, so that our anti poverty strategy can be fit for purpose at this time of increasing hardship for our citizens, and 2. report back to the Executive on the outcome of his review.
