The Project Management Office wants to hear your views on how the Council can tackle sickness absence.

Over the years, steps have been taken to reduce absence and the impact it has on the delivery of service, but more needs to be done – and ideas from staff are needed.

This Friday (November 23rd), employees from across all Council services are invited to attend the latest Hackathon on sickness absence, in a bid to generate new ways of thinking to address the issue.

Taking place on Friday, November 23rd from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. in Committee Room A, Municipal Buildings, the Hackathon will look at:

  • What is working in your area to improve attendance, and what you think could be done better
  • What the obstacles are to improving attendance, and how these hurdles can be overcome
  • What you think prevents people from returning to work, and what support could be given to help assist a speedy return
  • What you think could be done differently

To attend, simply come along this Friday.
