Kind-hearted Falkirk Council employees have made a huge collective donation to the Falkirk Foodbank just in time for Christmas.

Staff at the Municipal Buildings filled numerous bags and boxes with long-life food, tinned goods and sanitary products – all to be donated to the less fortunate in the Falkirk area via the foodbank.

The donations were organised and delivered to the Falkirk Foodbank by Sepi Stewart and Iyke Ikegwuono (pictured).

The Falkirk Foodbank, which is seeded by the Trussell Trust, relies on goodwill and donations to provide help to people in crisis in the Falkirk area. Urgently needed food goods include:

  • UHT Milk
  • Tinned vegetables
  • Biscuits
  • Long life fruit juice
  • Cereals

For convenience, donations can also be made at:

  • Tesco Camelon
  • Tesco Redding
  • Tesco Retail Park
  • ASDA Grangemouth
  • ASDA Stenhousemuir
  • ASDA Falkirk
  • Sainsbury's Denny

The donations to Falkirk's foodbank follow the Provost's successful 2018 Christmas appeal, where gift contributions from generous Falkirk Council employees numbered in the dozens.
