The Christmas holidays are for indulgence; the New Year a time to kick-start a healthier regime. To help get you into the zone, why not fill out our staff Wellbeing questionnaire?

The survey aims to gauge how much you know about the current wellbeing support and policies offered by the Council, and find out what you feel needs to be done to support the mental and physical health of our workforce moving forward.

Hundreds of staff have already completed the questionnaire, but we need as many of you as possible to give your views before the survey closes this Friday (January 11th).

Why? Because your input will shape the Council’s staff wellbeing strategy for the next three years – and help us retain a Healthy Working Lives Gold award.

Michael Durrington, Senior Health, Safety & Care Advisor, said: “It is essential that the Council puts a wellbeing strategy in place that safeguards both the mental and physical health of its staff. By simply taking 10 minutes out of your day to fill out the survey, you’ll play a fundamental part in helping us tailor our programme of support so it meets the needs of our workforce.”

Already a range of wellbeing benefits are offered to staff including:

  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Pension advice
  • Desk yoga

The wellbeing questionnaire runs until Friday, January 11th, with outcomes published in February.

The new wellbeing strategy is expected to be launched in spring 2019.
