A new Graduate & Internship Scheme for 2019 is set to create 17 new graduate and intern posts at Falkirk Council.

Various graduate and internship opportunities from across Falkirk Council are being advertised until 31 March 2019, with posts expected to start in summer.

Placements provide valuable work experience to graduates and students, whilst also enhancing the organisation's workforce and its skill profile.

Graduate positions will run for a minimum of one year – potentially extending to 2 years – and will be paid between £19,562 and £21,337.

The Internship Scheme will be a 12 week paid summer placement, aimed at current undergraduate students. Interns will be paid the Scottish Local Government Living Wage, and will also benefit from similar entitlements to those of Falkirk Council employees.

2019 marks the first time that Falkirk Council has operated a formal internship scheme.
