From Monday 25 August 2014 Network Rail will be undertaking essential exploratory work at Greenhill Road railway bridge. This will mean that Greenhill Railway bridge will be closed to traffic for five days.

This road closure will affect school bus services to Denny High School, St Mungo’s High School, Antonine and St Joseph’s Primary Schools.

School bus services will serve the first bus stop in Greenhill Road at Mannfield Avenue as normal and then travel via Mannfield Avenue, Roman Road and Seabegs Rd. All other bus stops in Greenhill Road will be out of use during this period.

School buses will continue to serve High Bonnybridge as normal with vehicles turning at Glenyards Road as required.

To reduce the number of school children waiting at the bus stop in Greenhill Road, we advise Secondary School pupils where possible, to walk to alternative bus stops over the railway bridge at Glenyards Road, which will remain open for pedestrians, or walk via the Milnquarter footpath and catch school buses at Antonine Primary School.

School bus services may experience some minor delays during this period. We apologise for the inconvenience caused during this road closure, but due to the road layout in the area, there are no other options currently available for school buses.
