Budding entrepreneurs from Falkirk can apply for free business support and training and the chance to kick start their own business with a £10k investment.

Local people who are new to enterprise have until the 28th of August to send in their applications for ‘Test Town 2015.’ The Carnegie Trust run competition offers people from ten towns across the UK the chance to become a trader.

Successful Falkirk applicants will receive a bespoke package of support and have the chance to trade for a week from the Howgate shopping centre in October this year. The town’s top trader will go on to the national finals early next year with the chance to win the investment and be named ‘UK Towns Entrepreneur of the Year.’

Councillor Dennis Goldie, spokesperson for Economic Development, said: “Test Town is an excellent opportunity for people with a business idea they feel will benefit the town centre to gain first-rate training and experience in trading.”

Anyone interested can request an application form by emailing sarah@falkirk.delivers.com and should return their completed form to the same address.
