Around 1000 marchers are expected to take part in a procession through Helix Park and into Falkirk on Saturday 17 September between 12pm and 2pm.

The walk, organised by the Scottish Recovery Consortium, will see participants gather at the Kelpies from 11am and leave at 12:10pm.

The walk will leave Helix Park, head along Etna Road, turn left onto Thornhill Road, turn right onto Ladysmill, turn left onto Bellsmeadow, turn left onto Callendar Road and enter Callendar Park.  An event will take place in the park and is expected to finish at 4pm. Callendar House and Park will remain open throughout the event.

The entrance to The Helix Park will be closed from approximately 12:00pm – 12:30pm during the event whilst the procession exits onto Etna Road.

During this period, it is expected that traffic will be disrupted in these areas and residents and visitors are advised to avoid the area. This includes local bus services through the town centre.

Rolling road closures will be put in place to manage the traffic. Delays are expected. It is hoped that all traffic restrictions will be lifted by 2pm.
