A new advice and information hub is opening at Carronbank House in Denny offering better services for Council residents next week (Monday 19 November).

The new facility will act as the main access point for Council services in the West where visitors can access housing, finance and children’s services all in one location.

The Hub will provide a number of face to face services acting as a location for assisting those who need our support most. Services will also be taken out to other locations such as Bonnybridge again targeted at those who need them most.

Specially trained advisors based in the Hub and at other ‘outreach’ locations will be able to help with

  • Housing Benefit/Council Tax Reduction
  • Discretionary Housing Payments
  • Money advice
  • Debt advice
  • Welfare benefits
  • Housing options
  • Free School Meals and Clothing Grants

Councillor Cecil Meiklejohn, Leader of Falkirk Council said: “The new hub will really help target those in most need of our services and where necessary have experts available to help with specific enquiries.

“Our East Hub in Grangemouth has proved popular since it opened last year and has helped thousands access better benefits, offered advice on a whole range of issues and helped put people in contact with other organisations and agencies who can assist directly.”

Services are also available online at MyFalkirk where residents can sign up for an account and carry out many different transactions with the Council such as apply for a different Council home, pay rent, ask for repairs to be carried out and report anti-social behaviour along with many other services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

A new Central Hub based at Falkirk Library is expected to open in 2019.
