All food businesses require to be registered with the food authority (the local Council). All food businesses are subject to regular inspections by Environmental Health Officers or Food Safety Officers.
The Freedom of Information ( Scotland) Act 2002 entitles members of the public to ask for information which is held by public bodies.
- In order to make it easier for the public to get access to these reports, it has been decided to publish them online.
- Reports are listed for inspections carried out from 1 April 2006 onwards.
- The site will be updated on a monthly basis.
Businesses are listed by the exact name given when they registered with us, and not necessarily how they would appear in the Phone Book.
- Premises are inspected for Food Hygiene or Food Standards or both.
Food Hygiene Reports
- Officers inspect for the hygienic compliance of the premises and food handling practices.
Food Standards Reports
- In these inspections, the labeling & composition of food is checked.
