We provide a range of services for older people (those over 65 years of age) who have been assessed by our community care teams as needing additional care and support.
The types of care we offer include:
Care and support at home for older people
We can provide a range of support for older people who need help within their own home. We may provide the following services, if eligible:
- Equipment and adaptations
- Mobile Emergency Care Service (MECS) - Please contact the Community Care Team at your local social work office to discuss your requirements.
- Short breaks / respite care services
- Respite care is a short break which could mean either a couple of hours, overnight, a weekend, a week, or longer, which provides a break for the person and their carer.
We provide the following short break/respite care services to older people in the Falkirk area:
- Summerford House, Camelon (older people)
- Grahamston House, Falkirk (dementia care)
- We also use other independent resources in the area.
