What time will my bins be emptied?

Bins must be at the kerbside by 6:30am on collection day.

They will be collected between 6:30am and 5:00pm.

How will I know when to put my bin out for collection?

Your bin will be labelled with your collection day.

Why has my bin not been emptied?

Your bin will not be collected if it contains the wrong materials, is overfilled, or is not at the kerbside by 6:30am on your collection day.

If you think your trade waste container has been missed, please contact us on 01324 504422.

More information on authorised waste carriers can be found on the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) website.

Yes. If you wish to have your non-recyclable waste collected by us, you must also have your recycling collected by us.

How would I get charged for the service?

You will receive an invoice each year. The invoices are dated April to March.

How do I pay my invoice?

Please contact the payment line on 01324 506070 to pay over the phone or to set up a monthly Direct Debit. For more information please call us on 01324 504422.

How do I cancel the Trade Waste service?

The service can be cancelled at any time. You must give us one month's notice in writing.

I don’t produce a lot of plastic can I just have a burgundy bin?

Yes but be aware that it is still your responsibility to ensure that any recyclable material produced by your business is recycled. We offer a 4 weekly collection service for blue bins or sacks if your business produces a low volume of a material.

I don’t need a burgundy bin, I’m happy putting all my paper and plastic into the one bin.

Unfortunately, this will no longer be possible after 05 April 2021.

The segregated recycling service will reduce costs for the council and businesses, and make sure that more material is recycled.
