Falkirk Council's Licensing Forum helps shape the policies that affect licensing decisions locally.
The Forum works with the Licensing Board by making recommendations and suggestions on a wide range of issues connected with licensing, but not in respect of any particular case.
The Forum typically looks at:

What is happening in the area in relation to alcohol and licensed premises?

Is the Licensing Board making decisions in line with what is stated in their Policy?

What is the effect of the Board's decisions in the area?

Does more need to be done, and if so, how does this impact on the Licensing Policy?
The Forum gathers evidence from a range of sources to support its views.
The Forums consists of a cross section of interested individuals including police, educational, health, social work, young people and license trade representatives, a Licensing Standards Officer and members of the public. Falkirk Local Licensing Forum has 15 members, namely:
