As part of the local Community Planning Partnership, we have asked ScotCen to carry out a Parent / Carer survey to help understand the needs and wellbeing of families with children aged 0-8 years.

A trained interviewer may knock at random on your door between January and May 2017 to ask if you would be willing to take part in a 30 minute survey.

We would be grateful, if you have a child aged 0-8 years, if you would agree to give them your views. You may see this flyer / poster (below) displayed in public buildings across Falkirk.

In conjunction with this parent survey, children and young people from Primary 5 to Secondary 4 will be asked to complete a survey at school about their health and wellbeing. Each school will send out a letter to parents about the survey and, if you do not want your child to take part, you can choose to opt them out. The children and young people themselves can also choose not to take part. Children do not have to answer all of the questions and their answers will remain strictly confidential and cannot be traced back to them as an individual.

We hope to gather useful data from this mosaic of surveys to help us plan local services that families, children and young people tell us they need.
