Community health

Falkirk Council’s Community Education Service runs a range of free courses based on your learning needs.

Community issues

Many local communities experience issues that affect their health, such as:

  • lack of play parks or youth facilities
  • lack of access to healthy food

Some communities need better services for older people or are affected by anti-social behaviour.

This course will allow you to meet with others and identify the issues affecting your health and that of your community. The group is also encouraged to find out ways of tackling these issues and identifying the people who can help.

As the weeks go by, the group will be able to see how they have improved in the identified areas. At the end of the course, the group will be able to get advice on where they go from there.
