The Community Development & Capacity Building Team provides support to a wide range of community groups and organisations to enable them to develop and improve their communities.
We work with local groups, organisations and individuals assisting them to:

create a vision for the future of their community

become involved in community life

initiate, develop and manage projects, and groups

participate in decision making
-
take part in Area Forums
-
participate in local community planning
We do this by:

helping communities to identify their needs

providing specialist advice and assistance
-
developing knowledge, skills and confidence

providing training
-
helping to access funding, resources and accommodation
-
providing and supporting local Community Education Centres
