Local community planning

We help local residents to come together in identifying what they want for their community and the changes they would like to see happen within their neighbourhood.

We do this by hosting open days, street parties and community events where people can get involved in ‘Mapping your Future’ in a lively and fun atmosphere.

Staff and officers from different organisations and services are included in the process and, together with local residents, we create a local community plan for the area.

So far we are working in Grangemouth, Denny, Bonnybridge, Banknock and surrounding areas, and the Larbert/Stenhousemuir area. Once these plans are complete, we will start work in Bo’ness, Braes and Falkirk.

Local people and officers will continue to work together to monitor the progress of the plans and will celebrate success along the way by letting people know how the targets are being met.

If you are interested in Local Community Planning, or in getting involved in your community in general, you can attend any of the public events and area forums designed to increase contact.
