The Community Education Service offers a great opportunity to people who want to work with others and develop their own skills.
We are looking for adults to work in a voluntary capacity in a variety of settings across the Falkirk area. This can be arranged to suit the time you have available. Opportunities can be either for a short period of time or last longer.
Volunteers can be involved in a number of setting such as:
-
running a local community centre or groups for adults or children
-
assisting a group organise its accounts, raise money or plan a programme
-
helping to run groups for older people or people with special needs
-
working with young people in a variety of youth work settings
-
supporting adults who wish to learn new skills
-
drive a mini-bus
Volunteering is a great way to meet people and to develop skills that are useful in everyday life.
All our volunteers are supported by a member of staff, who will identify their training needs and help people to develop new skills and confidence.
If you want to find out more about volunteering in your local community, please go to our contacts page|.
If you wish to volunteer or undertake part-time paid work with children, young people and vulnerable adults you will be required to complete a Disclosure Scotland check and participate in a level 1/2 Child Protection Training session. See our Training diary| for information and dates.
