Young people from across Falkirk are being urged to claim their new National Entitlement and Concessionary Travel Card.
The new Concessionary Travel Card, which is for young people aged from 16 years to 18 years old and for people in full time volunteer work, entitles them to reduced travel costs. Young people will be able to claim a 33% discount on every bus journey in Scotland and a free rail card for discounted rail travel.
The National Entitlement Card has already been promoted in Forth Valley College and direct to Young Scot card holders.
The National Entitlement Card will in future replace the Young Scot Card for 11 to 25 year olds but will continue to give all the benefits of the Young Scot card.
The new card will combine all of Falkirk Council's Young Scot card features: Proof of Age, Discounts, Leisure card and library card and because it is an electronic card, it will be easy to add more services in the future.
