ASDAN Youth Achievement Award

The Youth Achievement Awards are a peer education approach to recognising and accrediting young peoples' achievements. They are designed to encourage young people to take a more active role in activities.

Youth Achievement Awards come in four levels:

  • Bronze: you take part in activities
  • Silver: you help to organise activities
  • Gold: you plan, organise and lead your own activity
  • Platinum: you take on a leadership and peer education role at platinum

Last year the Youth Learning Team (Community Service) supported 27 young people to achieve a Youth Achievement Award.

Some of the activities young people were involved in were:

  • organising discos
  • peer-education
  • organising trips for their local youth club
  • writing a heath health magazine
  • attending a confidence course
