Opening hours

Seasonal facility: open from April to September only.

Opening days and times are linked to the Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway timetable.

Admission

£3/£2 concession

(Tickets can also be purchased as part of the Railway experience)

Access

Birkhill Fireclay Mine is best accessed via a trip on the Bo’ness and Kinneil Steam Railway. For more details visit: http://www.srps.org.uk|

Access to the mine is via a steep staircase down into the gorge, which makes it unsuitable for disabled, very young and elderly people.

Retail

The Fireclay Mine carries a small range of items for sale. All major credit cards are accepted, but we regret that at present we are unable to process card transactions under £5.00.
