Joining the library online

If you live, work or study in the Falkirk area and are not already a library member, you can join the library online.

If you have already joined the library but have lost your library card, you should read the 'Lost library card'  |page instead.

How to join online

On the next few screens, we will ask you for your details. If you are under 16 we will also ask you for the details of your parent, guardian or carer.

We will ask you to choose a Falkirk Council library as a home base so that we can register your details. Once you have joined, you will be able to use any of the libraries in the Falkirk area.

When you have entered your details, you will be given a temporary borrower number and personal identification number (PIN). You can use these straight away to reserve titles from our library catalogue.

To borrow items or use the library computers, you will need to collect your library card from the library. We will ask you to show us some proof of your name and address (such as a driving licence or utility bill).

If you are under 16, your parent, carer or guardian will need to be with you when you collect your card and they will need to bring some proof of name and address with them.

Join the library now| (opens in a new window).
