If you have difficulty getting out and about to use your local library or the mobile library, the Homebound Service can bring books and music to you.
The Homebound Service delivers to borrowers’ homes throughout the area on a three weekly basis, delivering a selection of books and music. Books can be provided as ordinary print, large print or on cassette or CD.
Borrowers can request books from the full stock of the library service and the Homebound Assistant can check the library catalogue and place requests for you in your home, using a laptop computer.
Home Sound
Falkirk Council Library Service made a successful bid for funding from the Scottish Government to provide the Home Sound service for our Homebound users. Home Sound is an enhanced range of spoken word CDs and a number of Daisy Players (easy to use CD players), which are available for loan to users who do not have their own CD player at present.
