Each of the libraries holds a basic reference collection. The largest reference collections are held in Falkirk| and Grangemouth| libraries.
Whether for general interest or academic, there is a wide range of resources available to answer enquiries, from telephone directories to general dictionaries and from encyclopaedias to information on organisations and government.
Grangemouth and Falkirk Libraries are partner libraries for the Scottish Parliament and hold information on the Parliament, reports and legislation.
Credo Reference
Credo Reference is now available through Falkirk Council Libraries. It is a search engine like Google, but instead of searching the entire internet, your results come from a comprehensive library of trusted reference sources without advertisements, clutter, or irrelevant hits.

Moodjuice
Moodjuice Forth Valley| is a website designed to offer information and advice to those experiencing troublesome thoughts, feelings and actions.
From the site you can print off various self-help guides covering conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress, panic and sleep problems.
The books listed on the site are recommended by Forth Valley Health professionals and are part of the Book Prescription Scheme.
The books are available in one of our libraries and may be requested for free at any library or online.
CANS

CANS is a practical summary of the laws of England, Wales and Scotland, updated every day from Statutes, Statutory Instruments, Codes of Practice and European Directives by a team of dedicated lawyers.
