Sunday November 29th November was the day of the long awaited RNLI Reindeer Run at Stirling University. The day started very cold and dry although very marshy underfoot for big parts of the course.
The 10km kicked off at 10.45am and was comprised of two circuits of a cross-country course around the grounds of the University. The 5km kicked off roughly an hour later completing one circuit. The 10km was completed by Iain Leslie and Fiona Walter, (Gary pulled out at 5km due to a niggly injury to hip), Iain in 52min 40secs and Fiona in just under the hour.
All who entered the 5km race from our Circuit team finished in under 30 minutes, which was a great achievement for most of our runners who have been running for no longer than six months respectively.
Overall we all felt great after the race and we were all glad that we had taken part in aid of the RNLI charity.
