Falkirk Council operates two recycling centres:

Roughmute is currently operating a partial service (due to a fire). Householders wishing to bring materials on site using cars and trailers for recycling and disposal can do so between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Sunday until further notice.
Opening hours
Kinneil Kerse is open 8.00am to 8.00pm (last entry 7.45), Roughmute is open 9.00am to 5.00pm, 363 days a year. Only closed on Christmas and New Years Day.
Free compost for all residents
At the Recycling Centres, householders can take away up to four free bags of compost produced from garden waste (subject to availability). This useful end product will help to improve your garden. You can see here to find out more about how your garden waste is made into compost|.
Separating your waste
In order to comply with the European Landfill Directive, At the Recycling Centres you will be asked to separate your waste into the correct containers to maximise recycling.

Please note that Kinneil Kerse and Roughmute Recycling Centres are only available for use by Falkirk Council residents.
This service is free to all householders. Commercial users must obtain a Small Traders Tipping Permit prior to using the Centres.
