Community regeneration

Dawson New Houses
New houses built in Dawson
The Falkirk Community Planning Partnership is committed to tackling poverty and disadvantage in all forms and is striving for real change across its communities.

The Community Regeneration Theme Group takes the lead in developing the Partnership's strategic approach and delivery of regeneration within the Falkirk Council area.

The Partnership's key regeneration priorities are:

  • to create safer communities in which to work and play by improving safety in our neighbourhoods and homes
  • to ensure the provision of good quality and affordable housing to meet the needs of current and future residents and to improve access to permanent housing for homeless people and other vulnerable groups
  • to improve the image and quality of the physical environment including our town centres
  • to tackle financial exclusion by increasing jobs, income and enterprise for all our citizens
  • to address the health inequalities which exist within our specific communities and the range of specific issues which affect health
  • to raise educational attainment for our most disadvantaged young people through the development of skills, knowledge and positive attitudes to school and community based learning in order to increase participation in family, community, working and private life
  • to promote personal and community development through participation in community based activities
  • to ensure that our most disadvantaged and excluded children and young people play a positive part in our communities and have voice in influencing the delivery of local services.
