Falkirk Council has produced a 21st Century Action Plan |outlining how the Council is moving towards meeting this agenda. It also outlines how we intend to deliver all relevant local authority services online by 2005, in line with the government's targets.
The Plan highlights the action we will take, based on the vision and priorities contained within our area's first Strategic Community Plan, underpinned by our commitment to Best Value.
What does it mean to you?
Falkirk Council is committed to working with our partners to ensure that local services are delivered in a way that works for you.
People want services that are accessible and easy to obtain. They are not interested in how the Council or our partners across the public sector are structured to deliver for them; they want services that meet their own personal needs and don't want organisational boundaries to hinder service delivery. Hence the need to 'join up' and work with other agencies.
An internal Modernising Government Steering Group has been established to oversee the implementation of the Council's 21st Century Action Plan. A number of key projects are underway to improve the way services are delivered to our community.
The Council's model for improving the way you deal with us describes how you can contact us through whatever channel they choose and how we will joint up the front office/back office to ensure that your enquiries are dealt with directly.
Falkirk Council aims to break down barriers and to work between departments, agencies and authorities to deliver services to you directory.
Through time, we aim to answer the maximum number of citizen enquiries at the first point of contact, without having to hand people off to other parts of the Council.
