Community Safety Team regularly patrols Falkirk Council area to ensure that people can live quietly and peacefully in their neighbourhoods without fear of crime, annoyance or abuse. The Team consists of a 9 Community Safety Wardens and 8 Community Safety Officers.
The aim of the team is to try and ensure that everyone can enjoy the area they live.
The Community Safety Team has responsibility for issuing fixed penalty notices and warnings for Dog Fouling, Litter and Fly tipping. They also have responsibility for reducing antisocial behaviour, including graffiti, vandalism and fear of crime.
They will also develop close links with communities promoting the area as safe and attractive place to live, work, shop and visit.
The Community Safety Team patrol in pairs throughout the Council area. Their main duties include the following.
Enforcement of litter, dog fouling and fly tipping legislation

Fixed penalties (litter £50; dog fouling £40; fly tipping £50) are issued whenever an offence is witnessed by members of the Community Safety Team.
Community engagement

Providing reassurance to residents.

Engaging with residents and young people.

Reporting incidents of antisocial behaviour or crime.

Acting as professional witnesses

Being a point of contact for environmental concerns.

Accessing rapid response environmental teams.

Developing links with local schools, youth groups, tenants associations, church groups,
local businesses and community groups.

Offering advice on estate management issues.
