Clean ups!

kids_litterpickLitter picking is an activity that has no barriers, involving young and old, it’s a quick way to make a very visual and physical difference.

The community see’s what others are trying to do and are often inspired to join in, it really is a fun, healthy and practical activity.

All you have to do is:

  1. Choose an area in your neighbourhood that is in need of a clean up and a suitable day and time to do the litter pick.
  2. Then contact the litter team to tell us what you are planning we can then organise your equipment and litter collection.
  3. You will need to advertise your event, by designing a poster - we can help with this.
  4. Put your poster in local shop windows and contact your local schools, they could even design the poster for you?
  5. Invite your friends, family, neighbours and colleagues to your clean up

Before the litter pick we can help by carrying out a risk assessment of the proposed clean up area. We will also be there with you on the day to ensure things run smoothly, helping to provide encouragement to ensure the day is a success!

What else can I do to clean up and improve my neighbourhood?

It usually only takes one litter pick to get the community enthused and ready for more action. We have a variety of different projects and activities that can help to improve your neighbourhood:
