The Forth Valley Master Composter Scheme is a great opportunity for people to learn about successful home composting techniques and discover a great resource in their rubbish!
The scheme which is being run throughout the whole of the Forth Valley, will train volunteers in the art of making and using great home compost, converting waste into wonderful crumbly compost that can give your garden a boost. As well as introducing these valuable techniques, volunteers will also be equipped with the necessary skills to go out and spread the word, hopefully enthusing others to give it a go.
Volunteers will have support from the FVMC project officer, and the chance to meet with other Master Composters to discuss techniques and generally expand their knowledge of environmental issues. We are looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic about the environment to take the home composting message out into their communities.
Watch out for information on the training sessions for volunteers. Call Forth Environment Link on 01786 449215 or email biodiversity@forthenvironmentlink.org| if you are interested in coming to this free training.
Get involved and help promote environmental sustainability in your community.
