Green bins

Please continue to use your green bin for your remaining household waste. This bin should contain any other waste that cannot be recycled using your blue| or brown| bin, or your kerbside box|.

As well as separating our waste into blue or brown bins, there is much more we can do to reduce the waste that we throw away. For example, you could:

  • take glass to the recycling points located across Falkirk. For a list of centres and points visit the Recycling centres and Recycling points pages.
  • home compost; you can compost a lot of waste produced at home yourself. For more information, visit the Home Composting page.
  • use real nappies; the real nappies of today are far different from that of yester years. For more information, visit the Real Nappies page.

Remember that a wide range of other materials can also be recycled using the excellent facilities at Kinneil Kerse| and Roughmute| recycling centres.
