Falkirk Council is pleased to offers its residents a three bin kerbside collection service.
Did you know that from July 2009 you can recycle even more materials in your blue bin with the addition of mixed plastics and tetra pak?
Please visit the blue bin page or the brown bin page for a full list of materials that can be recycled using each bin.
Blue bin|
|
You can now recycle mixed plastics such as coloured and clear plastic food trays, fruit punnets and yoghurts pots as well as tetra pak cartons such as soup or juice cartons in your blue bin.
Please ensure that these materials are rinsed clean and remove any film, food tray liners or netting before you put them out for recycling.
Please visit the blue bin page| for the full list of materials which can be recycled in the blue bin.
Brown bin|
|
The brown bin is for all your garden waste such as flowers and plants or leaves and wood shavings. All this material could also be composted at home.
Why don't you visit our home composting page and watch our short film on home composting. This page also provides information on where you can purchase a subsidised home composting bin.
Please visit the brown bin page| for the full list of materials which can be put in your brown bin.
Green bin|
|
The green bin takes all the materials that cannot be recycled using your blue or brown bin, your kerbside box and bag, your local recycling point or at one of our two recycling centres.
If you have any questions regarding the three bin kerbside collection please contact Falkirk Council's recycling helpline on 01324 504444.
