Secondary school meals

Secondary School Lunch Time Food Service

School meals and healthy eating in Secondary schools are delivered through the Scottish Executive's Hungry for Success Initiative and The Schools (Health Promotion and Nutrition) Scotland Act 2007.

Falkirk Council Secondary schools continue to maintain a high level of school meal uptake. The Scottish Executive Census 2010 |shows school meal information collected from all publicly funded schools in Scotland.

The social dining areas within High schools offer an open area where young persons can relax and eat with friends.

Our fixed 3 week 2 Course and Meal Deal Menus represents great value for money. An extensive range of wraps, subs, paninis, salads boxes and pasta pots are available at our Express counters. This express range is individually priced, giving young persons the flexibility to buy a variety of food options.

There's no stigma over who gets free school meals - as the free school meal value (£2.20) is loaded onto into the young person's swipe card enabling them to choose what food combination they want to eat that day. Money can also be topped up onto cards on a daily or weekly basis
