We are committed to ensuring the highest possible standards in gas safety. As your landlord we have a legal duty to ensure that gas appliances, gas piping and flues in your home are well maintained and safe.

You can expect us to:

• ensure gas fittings, gas pipes and flues are maintained in a safe condition
• ensure that a gas safety check is carried out every 12 months by a GAS SAFE registered installer
• provide you with the safety record within 28 days of the check being completed
• take all reasonable steps to ensure that servicing of appliances is carried out. This may include taking legal action to force entry if required
• give you at least 24 hours notice in writing before carrying out any work in your home. 

What we expect from you:

• you must allow access to your property to enable us to carry out the servicing and safety checks listed above.

If you smell gas or think you may have a gas leak, please contact the Transco 24-hour gas emergency service on 0800 111 999.

If you have a concern or an emergency relating to your gas central heating, please phone the number corresponding to your area listed in the table below. Telephone lines are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
