Council tenants: get involved

Falkirk Council recognises that involving tenants and other service users in the design and delivery of housing and associated services helps tenants and officers to develop a better working relationship and increases the level of satisfaction with the services provided.

There are several ways that tenants can participate in the service:

  • Through residents and tenants associations
    You can find out if there is a group in your area by clicking on the Registered Tenants Organisation page. If there is not a group in your area we can offer support to help you start your own group. For more information about this please contact your local Neighbourhood Office or phone 01324 501453 and leave a message for the Tenant Participation Co-ordinator to contact you.
  • Through the Tenants' Forum
    This forum for Registered Tenants & Residents Organisations and senior management considers policy issues and other issues put forward by members. Dates are advertised in 'In the Neighbourhood' and minutes of meetings are available by emailing tenant.participation@falkirk.gov.uk or dialling 01324 590780.
  • By attending focus groups and other meetings about specific issues.
    A Calendar of Participation Opportunities is regularly published in our tenants' newsletter 'In the Neighbourhood'. This includes Tenant Involvement Group meetings to oversee our strategy, mystery shopping and more.
  • Through the register of actively interested tenants or 'Consultation Register'
    If you would like to be on this register you should contact your local Neighbourhood Office or phone 01324 501453 and leave a message for the Tenant Participation Co-ordinator to contact you.
  • By taking part in our Rent Consultation.
  • By using Comments Cards to make a suggestion at One Stop Shops, the Accommodation Resource Centre, Castings Hostel or Travelling Persons Site.
  • By making a Complaint or comment about services you have received.
  • By returning any satisfaction surveys provided when repairs or other services have been delivered to you.
