Offer of permanent housing

If, following our investigations, you are homeless but not in priority need, in terms of the law, you will be offered temporary housing, for a reasonable period of time, while you find somewhere else to live.

Our staff can help you complete housing application forms and give detailed advice on all of your housing options. This will include:

  • details of council house stock and availability
  • details of housing available from other Registered Social Landlords in the area (i.e. Housing Associations)
  • renting from a private landlord
  • buying a house

For more information on housing options visit the Falkirk Housing Options Guide|.

Details on applying for a house from the Council can be found on Homespot|.

If you are unhappy about a decision that has been made about your housing application you can ask to have the situation looked at again by using the appeals procedure.

For more information on housing application appeals please see our Appeals Process – housing allocations|.
