How do I apply?

You can get an application form from the Travelling Persons Officer by using the details listed in the “Contact Us” section.  You can also telephone, write or call into the Accommodation Resource Centre (ARC), or one of our Neighbourhood Offices/One Stop Shops|.

If you need help to fill in the application the Travelling Persons Officer or staff from the Accommodation Resource Centre or one of our Neighbourhood Offices/One Stop Shops| will be happy to help.

When you have filled in your application form you should return it to the Travelling Persons Officer, the Accommodation Resource Centre or one of our Neighbourhood Offices/One Stop Shops.

Please make sure that you answer all the relevant questions honestly and correctly on the application form.

How are pitches allocated?

A waiting list is kept of all the applicants who want to be offered a pitch. When a pitch becomes available for letting it will normally be let to the applicant who has been on the waiting list the longest. However, there may be situations when this general rule does not apply. For example, if there is only one pitch available for let and applicant (A) who has the earliest date of application already has a lease on another site and, applicant (B) who applied after applicant (A) does not have a site to stay on then the offer of the pitch may be made to applicant (B), as they have the most need for a place on an authorised site.

If we are not able to contact you to offer you the lease of a pitch then the offer will be made to the next applicant on the waiting list (on the basis of date of application) as long as there is no other applicant with greater need.
