Significant progress has been made over the last few years in developing and improving the performance of the local economy. Notwithstanding this, sustained commitment and effort is still required across a number of areas if business productivity and individual prosperity are to be increased.
Our main future priorities will, therefore, be to continue to:

provide support for new business starts, existing businesses and sectors to promote investment, innovation and competitiveness

promote and market the area to attract new investment and raise its profile and image

raise the profile of the Falkirk Council area locally, nationally and internationally as a destination for cultural and leisure events and activities
-
work to increase the number of people in jobs, particularly the young and the long-term unemployed.
