These are the results of the Falkirk Council elections held on 03 May 2012.
The results list the names of the candidates elected to each of the nine Council wards, the number of first preference votes cast for each candidate and the number of rejected ballot papers in each ward.
Publication of Preference Profile Information
The Scottish Local Government Elections Amendment (No. 2) Order 2012 came into force on 07 January 2013, requiring Returning Officers to give public notice of the information about voting sequences by Ward at the Scottish local government elections held on 03 May 2012.
This information is provided in Excel spreadsheet format (see below) and PDF (see Documents box) and details each unique sequence in which candidates were ranked by voters, and the number of voters who chose each sequence. The information does not indicate which voter cast that sequence of votes but details the various sequences adopted.
An explanatory note (PDF, 87KB) is also published to assist with the interpretation of the data.
