Community design, in common with the other three design groups, is multi-disciplinary, offering a professional architectural, quantity surveying and engineering service to its two main clients: Falkirk Council Community Services Department and Central Scotland Fire Brigade.
Our clients provide a variety of project work, ranging from feasibility studies through extension and alteration to existing buildings to a variety of new build projects.
Examples of recent work include the Falkirk Stadium, the new Falkirk Fire Station, The Braes Library, the new Callendar Fire Station and the new Bonnybridge Library. Brief details of these projects can be found in this section of the website.
The group has also undertaken project work for other external clients such as Central Scotland Police, Council Community Groups and the Scottish Ambulance Service.
The group is now responsible for providing guidance on sustainable construction design and technology and support for home energy conservation to the Building Design Unit.
