About Development Services
Development Services is the principal land use planning, design and regulatory service of the Council. Our aim is to contribute to the protection of the environment, the safeguarding of human health and the enhancement of the quality of life of the citizens of the Falkirk Council area.
Responsible for structure and local planning, development control and enforcement, the environment, transport planning, public transport, building design, engineering design, roads and development, building standards, environmental health and protection, consumer protection, waste strategy, licensing, and civil contingences / emergency planning.
