The Asset Management Unit provides property and development advice to the Council and is a core policy area of the Council recognising that our assets are key resources in the attainment of development and promoting growth in the local economy through the quality of our infrastructure.
The process of asset management planning performs a vital role in helping to ensure that services are accessible, delivered to the highest possible standards and contribute to the economic development aspirations of the area.
The Unit is also responsible for disposal of surplus land and property, acquisitions and the maintenance and updating of the land and property ownership records.
It also progresses key development projects such as the Falkirk Gateway and Falkirk Stadium site which will contribute to ensuring an appropriate environment and business infrastructure exists to support the Council’s economic development aspirations.
