The purpose of Falkirk Council's emergency plans is to provide a sound basis for the management of the Council response to emergency situations, while continuing to deliver its normal day-to-day services.
The Emergency Response Plan developed by Falkirk Council Civil Contingencies team follows the principles of Integrated Emergency Management and focuses on the effects of an incident rather than the cause.
In order to lessen the effects of an emergency on people, property and the environment, our plans are flexible enough to adapt to a range of emergency situations allowing us to coordinate our response with the emergency services and integrate with the plans of other responding agencies.
This plan is currently under review. In the mean time, the Emergency Response Plan 2004 (PDF, 239KB)| is available to download.
