Moving forward, it is essential that we harness the potential of our young people, to provide both them and local businesses with a head start ready for the opportunities as we recover from the recession.
Backing Falkirk's Future is an initiative delivered by the local Workforce Plus partnership aimed at private, public and voluntary sector organisations.
As a local employer, by supporting 'Backing Falkirk's Future' you can demonstrate how your organisation is committed to helping local people aged 18 to 24 to gain the skills and work experience they need to compete in the labour market and get jobs.
How your organisation can help
As a local employer there are many ways in which you can assist to reduce local youth unemployment and increase the local skills base. Committing to the Employer Pledge will demonstrate how your organisation supports the challenge of providing opportunities for young people.
Involvement varies from providing quality work experience right through to enabling the achievement of nationally recognised work-based vocational qualifications, for example through Skillseeker or Modern Apprenticeship opportunities.
