Project Overview
A Scottish Government led initiative, the e-Planning project aims to facilitate the introduction of on-line facilities to provide an improved level of service from Planning Authorities.
The principle focus of the project is to provide:

a facility to enable the on-line submission of planning applications and appeals
-
an on-line information system for tracking applications and viewing associated documents
-

In addition to providing all facilities covered by the e-Planning Project, Falkirk Council will provide an on-line information facility for Building Standards applications.
Current Status
On-line planning submissions:
On Wednesday, 29 April 2009, the Scottish Government will launch the ePlanning Scotland site. This will provide a facility to submit a planning application to any council in Scotland.
Full instructions and guidance will be available on the site. A link will be provided from the Planning & Building Standards page of the Falkirk Council website to this new facility.
On-line information system:
The project delivers the facility to provide an interactive planning information site on all Scottish local authority websites. In Falkirk Council it will be available from 30 April 2009.

On-line Local Plan
This strand is at the procurement stage with contract award now expected in summer 2009.

The Local Plan and Structure Plan are available to download.

Planning application weekly lists are published.

Details of application fees and guidance notes on a variety of subjects, eg planning applications, appeals and copyright legislation, are published.

Members of the public can submit comments on planning applications on-line via e-mail.
Building Standards:

weekly lists of building warrant applications are published.

details of application fees and guidance notes on a variety of subjects, eg structural design and electrical certification, replacement windows, alterations (to kitchens, WCs, bathrooms, shower rooms, etc), letters of comfort, customer charter, are published.
