We have a statutory responsibility for the enforcement of health and safety law in a variety of workplaces. These are mainly in the distribution, retail, office, leisure and catering sectors.
Our main tasks are:

to undertake health and safety inspections at a frequency determined by risk assessment or otherwise in compliance with statute or centrally issued guidance

to assess all notified accidents and secure appropriate actions

to maintain records and report on activities at required intervals
