Falkirk Council area contains nine conservation areas and over 300 listed buildings. Each of these contributes to character and identity of the area and is worthy of protection. In this regard it is intended to commence preparation of a Built Heritage Conservation Strategy to promote the conservation and enhancement of key built heritage features. Work began on this project in mid 2005.
